SEPCA Women Police Officers Network Workshop “The Power of Effective Communication“

Ministry of Interior of Republic of Serbia, during its SEPCA Presidency in Office, with financial support of the U.S. Embassy Belgrade INL/ICITAP and OSCE Mission to Serbia organized the SEPCA Women Police Officers Network Workshop “The Power of Effective Communication”  in the period from 15 to 19 April, 2024 in Vrsac.

The main objectives of the SEPCA Women Police Officers Network is promotion and implementation of gender equality and democracy principles in police services, strategic approach to the admission of women to the police, education, training and career development as well as networking and strengthening cooperation through mutual support and joint initiatives.

 

The Workshop, which brought together women police officers from SEPCA member countries, was organized in order to provide support to female police officers within the SEPCA Association, who would acquire knowledge and be trained to communicate under stress, with different personality profiles, identify problems and barriers in communication and improve their communication skills in order to have more women leaders in the security sector.

 

Women police officers from SEPCA member countries, as well as police officers from Ministry of Interior of Republic of Serbia actively participated in the workshop and acquired knowledge and skills with the aim to improve the role and position of women in police as well as in our society.

 

This activity is the one of the planned activities during Serbian SEPCA Presidency in Office after the establishment of SEPCA Women Police Officers Network supported by our partners U.S. Embassy in Serbia and OSCE Mission to Serbia.
